Who will be the Top Goal Scorer in Italys Serie A in 2010-11?
There are several established strikers looking to continue their Serie A goal scoring, and with the additions of other world-class strikers, the goal-scoring title can go to any of several players. Here is a look at some of the favorites to finish the 2010-2011 season as the scoring champion.
ANTONIO DI NATALE (Udinese)
Di Natale scored 29 goals and finished as the top goal-scorer in the league despite playing for one of the league's weaker teams. This could prove more difficult this season, as teams will key on him and apply more pressure to stop him. However, Di Natale's skills are enough to guarantee him continued success.
ALEXANDRE PATO (AC Milan)
The Brazilian will be looking to improve on a season in which he showed flashes of greatness, despite being continuously plagued by injuries. Now healthy, he should have even more success, and the increase in time on the field will undoubtedly lead to an increase in his goals output.
DIEGO MILITO (Inter Milan)
With Inter returning most of the team that won the Serie A last season, Milito's goal-scoring will continue this year. He is a misleading figure on the pitch as he does not excel in any one particular area, but his nose for the ball around the box is uncanny, and he has proven that he possesses world-class goal scoring ability.
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVICH (AC Milan)
Ibras return to Serie A should mark a return to the goal-scoring form he showed during his years with Inter. Serie A is more suited to Ibras style of play than Spains La Liga. He should feel immediately comfortable, and his scoring output should be much improved
