NFC East Betting has always been known as the down and dirty division. In other words, this is where the players are the meanest. The divisional games between these teams often feature a lot of hitting, trash talking and other events that cannot be discussed here. Put simply, these teams hate each other. That's probably because every single one of them has experienced great success at some point in the past. That being the case, they each have a reputation to uphold and this is reflected in the NFC East lines. What makes NFC East bets so great is that these four teams always fight hard and to the finish. This season will be no different within the NFC East odds in the sportsbook.

Here is what has been circulating around the league about this division in the preseason before the kickoff of 2011:

Let's start with the Dallas Cowboys. If we're being honest, this team has underachieved for years. Tony Romo was supposed to be a superstar, but he turned out to be more of a pretty boy. He still has a lot of talent and the potential to prove people wrong, but he's not doing himself any favors by dating celebrities and ending up in the tabloids. Luckily for him, he has a ton of weapons on offense. Miles Austin might just be the best wide receiver in the NFL. That might sound crazy to some people, but if you watch him play, you will understand. Dez Bryant is more than a great compliment on the other side. He's one of the few young receivers that keeps his personal life under control and focuses on the game. Jason Witten is always solid at TE. Head Coach Jason Garret will do his best to reverse the underachieving reputation. His biggest challenge will be to get the most out of an again defense.

The Cowboys vs Giants will take place in NFL Week 14 and NFL week 17. The Cowboys vs Eagles will take place in NFL Week 8 and NFL Week 16. The Cowboys vs Redskins will take place in NFL Week 3 and NFL Week 11.

The New York Giants go as Eli Manning goes. He is as unpredictable as they come. One season he plays incredibly and leads his team to a Super Bowl victory and another season he throws more interceptions than anyone else in the league. With receivers like Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham, he has his targets. It's the offensive line that needs to do its job so he's not constantly hurried. The running back situation is the same – unresolved. Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs will share carries. Bradshaw provides more spark, but in order to win in the long run and wear out opposing defenses, they should go with Jacobs. The defense is quick yet small. Their performance depends a lot on the opposing offensive line.

The Giants vs Eagles will take place in NFL Week 3 and NFL Week 11. The Giants vs Redskins will take place in NFL Week 1 and NFL Week 15.

The Philadelphia Eagles have an amazing team on paper. Michael Vick is difficult to contain at QB. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are young speedsters at wide receiver. The only negative there is that they tend to get hurt often due to their small size. LeSean McCoy is the starting RB, but Ronnie Brown is just as solid right behind him, if not better. As far as defense goes, with Nnamdi Asomugha at right corner and Asante Samuel at left corner, it's going to be tough to complete deep passes against this unit. Overall, it's tough to find a weakness on the Eagles.

The Washington Redskins are a mess. Rex Grossman is their starting QB, which should say it all. Their #1 WR is Santana Moss, who was a great receiver about 10 years ago. Jabar Gaffney is their other WR and he's injured more than he's healthy. Their TE, Chris Cooley, might end up leading the team in receptions. Tim Hightower comes in at RB – he's slow, methodical and stands upright when he runs. The defense features a bunch of no-name players. All that said, the Redskins still somehow find a way to play well versus divisional opponents.

The Eagles vs Redskins will take place in NFL Week 6 and NFL Week 17.
