Pacers head to Denver looking to win once again

The Nuggets could not stop the Pacers during their previous game. Now, they will attempt to get it done on their home court before their longest journey away from home of the year.

Trying to avenge their worst defeat of 2010-2011, the Nuggets will attempt for a 3rd consecutive home court win against the Pacers when the clubs play Sunday evening.

Denver ( 24 - 18 ) had difficulties majorly during their 144 - 113 defeat at Conseco Fieldhouse vs. the Pacers on November 9th, particularly during the 2nd half. The Nuggets permitted 54 points during the 3rd period, when the Pacers made 20 straight attempts, & 85 points during the 2nd half.

The 54 points had been the 4th most for a quarter in League history, & the 85 during a half had been the most permitted by Denver since January 10th, 1991, when the Nuggets gave up 94 during the 2nd half of a 156 - 133 defeat to the Rockets.

Indiana's 144 points had been their most since March 7th, 1991, when the Pacers defeated the Nuggets 145 - 125.

Denver, which has yet to drop back to back contests on their home court, dropped to 19 - 5 at the Pepsi Center having a 107 - 97 defeat Friday evening versus the Lakers, who put in 53.4 % from the floor - the highest mark by a Nuggets competitor on their home court.

The Nuggets, who presently are in the 7th position in the Western Conference, start a 5 game journey away from home after this game.

Carmelo Anthony completed having thirteen points more than ten beneath his average for the year, during the November defeat to the Pacers.

Indiana ( 16 - 24 ) has lost a high for the year 4 consecutive & 7 of 9 since the new year. The Pacers had been leading by as much as sixteen points during the 1st half Saturday evening, however fell 97 - 92 at the Rose Garden vs. the Blazers. They need a win in this game to prevent an 0 - 4 journey away from home, & have dropped 12 of 13 on the road overall.
